So Whanginui was an interesting place to be this weekend. Saturday was the vintage fair and market. The market is EVERY Saturday in the summer, which is very nice to walk down and look through the local crafts and foods. In addition to the normal local crafts, there was also a vintage fair going on. Mostly there were old cars lining the main street along with several live bands, food vendors, more craft vendors and a few kids playthings like a bouncy house and fairs wheel.
(An example of one of the local vendors. She makes these homemade cards. Pretty cool, huh?)
(Bought this local artists piece it's made from a record)
(they had a vintage STEAM engine giving rides. It broke down lol, so we didn't get any rides :-( )
(One of the local bands, we had some frozen mango puree, like ice cream, and listened to them. Pretty good. The guy with the guitars voice was very mellow and did not look like it should come from his mouth.)
(Look at all the cars!)
(One of the oldest mini coopers cec and I have seen)
